General Military Community
COVID-19 continues to circulate, with case activity often increasing during the fall and winter respiratory virus season. The 2025–2026 updated COVID-19 vaccine is designed to provide protection against the variants currently spreading in our communities. Under current guidance, vaccination is recommended through shared clinical decision-making—a conversation between you and your healthcare provider about your individual risk factors and health needs.
If you’re unsure whether the COVID-19 vaccine is right for you, talk to your primary care provider or visit your MTF’s immunization clinic. That conversation doesn’t require a separate appointment and can be as simple as a few questions during your regular visit or at the time of vaccination. Our healthcare team is ready to help.
High-Risk Individuals
Some members of our community face a higher risk of serious illness from COVID-19, including those with diabetes, heart disease, lung disease, kidney disease, weakened immune systems, and those who are pregnant. If you or a family member fall into one of these categories, your provider may strongly recommend the updated COVID-19 vaccine. Research consistently shows that vaccination reduces the risk of serious illness, hospitalization, and complications from COVID-19, particularly for those with underlying conditions.
