Health Services

Vision

Vision coverage is a health benefit that may cover some of your vision care. This may include eye exams and, sometimes, glasses. Your vision provider may provide these services for both adults and children.

Please click on either Optometry or Ophthalmology for more insight on each available service.

Optometry

Getting framed is now a fashionable eye-opening experience courtesy of Naval Hospital Bremerton’s Optometry Clinic.
Those old jokes about Navy-issue eyeglasses being called ‘birth-control’ are not applicable anymore with a host of new stylish frames available from which to pick and choose.
Since the new frames – nine different colors, style and sizes – have been introduced and become a staple offering, Optometry’s Optical Support Unit has made thousands of new pairs of eye glasses for customers.
Optometry provides two pairs of serviceable eyewear, including inserts if needed for specific jobs that require such modification.
With the top priority of Optometry being direct support to the fleet, the process is simple for someone to get new eyeglasses and routinely begins with an eye exam.
It is recommended patients have their eyes examined every 12-24 months unless their doctor recommends otherwise.
An eye exam takes approximately an hour, and most new eyeglasses can be fitted, fabricated and finalized the same day as the visit.
Optometry can be reach at 360-475-4198.
Open 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
